Partner 4 – INSERM
Brief description of the organization
The INSERM research unit co-led by Prof. Danila Vamori and Dr Maha Ayyoub, UMR 1102, at the Institut de Cancérologie de l’Ouest has a specific expertise in tumour immunology and in particular in the development of human anti-cancer vaccines based on the group of Cancer Testis Antigens. The team has conducted extensive work in the field, both at the preclinical stage, implementation of clinical trials in cancer patients and their immunological monitoring. Another major area of research of the team is the characterisation of human CD4+ T cell subsets, particularly FOXP3+ Treg. UMR 1102 has a specialised immunomonitoring laboratory with dedicated instruments for flow cytometry (LSRII), cell sorting (FACSAria II), confocal microscopy (Apotome) and sequencing (ABI3130), as well as all other functional units for cell culture, molecular, cell biology and biochemistry.
